Hi, I live in Sweden but my business is a UK ltd. I am in the process of setting up payments through my UK Ltd. Should I put UK or Sweden as my country in Shopify for this to work the best? I will sell to Sweden quite abit but honestly also many countries in Europe and sometimes the US aswell. With Klarna, If I dont keep my country to Sweden will Klarna dissapear from the choices to set up? I have heard I can have klarna through Shopify Payments Stripe also? I know this is multiple questions but I want to know all of this so its perfectly clear what to do… I want to essentially have my uk business incorporated, have payouts to my uk business, Have the whole payment processing setup through my uk ltd and sell to different countries in eu with good payment processors such as for example Klarna in Sweden.
Hi @AntonBr !
If you have supporting documents that your business is located in UK such as, tax documents with UK address and Business permit with UK address, then it is okay if you put UK as your location. Though, if your business is registered in Sweden and all other supporting documents are based in Sweden, then it would be best that your store location is based in Sweden. Also, it is correct that you can have Klarna through your Shopify payments and Stripe as it is one of their supported payment providers.
I live in sweden, work in sweden, but my business is uk ltd. This doesnt fit any of the answers you gave. Also no I dont have tax document. My business is new.
If you’re operating a UK-based LTD company from Sweden and plan to sell across Europe and the US, it’s advisable to set your Shopify store’s country to the United Kingdom. This aligns with your company’s legal registration and facilitates smoother integration with UK-based payment providers.

If you want to eliminate this confusion, get a Stripe account. Stripe accounts support many payment methods and multi-currency payouts. These capabilities vary depending on your account country, and you can clearly find all the information on the Stripe website. However, if you want to use these capabilities and accept payments directly with your Stripe account, you will need a third-party solution.
