Have you used an AI to develop apps for your store?

Hi all,

The AI landscape and capabilities are developing so quickly and I read that some of these LLM’s can actually develop an app from text.

I have some project ideas for my store, but I’m wondering has anybody every tried building a custom app for their store using an LLM? Is this already at the level where a non-technical person can safely and reliable use these tools in a commercial environment?

Curious to hear your experiences.

Yes, but with limits.

LLMs can help non-technical users prototype or even build simple store apps (especially with guidance), but they’re not yet reliable enough to safely deploy complex, commercial apps without technical review. They’re great for generating code, ideas, and workflows—but security, scalability, and maintenance still usually require a developer before going live.
