Hello, we have a store with a cut off time at 3pm for next day delivery but some customers stay on the checkout page past 3pm after selecting their delivery dates and are able to still make the purchase. Is there a way to have a timeout feature on the checkout page so that this doesn’t happen?

You can hide your original checkout button and place a dummy checkout button.
Now write a script which will check the current time if current time is less than 3.
Script will trigger the click of original checkout button else do nothing or you can alert a msg to user for time lapse.
