Hello. I currently have a Shopify store that I am using for business. I plan to host multiple “Pop Up Shops” for school fundraisers.
Is there a way to make a copy of my website, and have a completely separate website that I use exclusively for these fundraisers? And how much extra would it cost to operate an additional store?
I currently have a special landing page set up on my current site for fundraisers, but users can still access the main website, which has been causing problems. I would rather it be completely disconnected.
Thank you.
Hi @SpectrumBakes ,
Thank you for getting in touch. You cannot clone a store directly, per se, but you can export data from your current store and import it into a new one which would make the process fairly straightforward. You can export your theme, your products, and your customers, and import them into a second store.
The work you’d have to focus on is setting up your payments, shipping settings, and general settings. However, this shouldn’t be too time-intensive if you’re cross-referencing these against your current store.
You would need a seperate subscription for your second store, yes. However, if you only have the fundraising store open ahead and during these pop-up events, you could move down to our $9 USD per month Pause and Build plan when you’re not actively selling. Your website would remain online when on this plan, but the checkout would be disabled. You can then move up to the Basic plan when it’s time for you to accept payments again.
I hope this helps but please let me know if you have more questions.
