We have changed our company logo and I need to put in a new header photo that was previously inserted by Shopify when we opened the store about 2 years ago. We aren’t ready to change the whole website, so I am looking to find out if anyone knows how to do this on their own or if you have any recommendations on this.
Thank you.
To replace the header photo in your Shopify store, you can follow these steps:
-
Access your Shopify admin dashboard.
-
From the left-hand sidebar, click on “Online Store” and then select “Themes.”
-
In the “Themes” section, you will see your currently active theme. Locate the “Customize” button next to it and click on it.
-
This will open the theme editor where you can make changes to your theme’s appearance. Look for the section or setting related to the header or logo/header image. The exact location and name may vary depending on your theme.
-
Once you find the appropriate setting, you can usually upload a new image by clicking on the existing header image or logo. This should open a file upload dialog where you can select your new image file from your computer.
-
After selecting the new image file, the theme editor should update and display the new header photo. You may have additional options to adjust the positioning, size, or other settings for the header photo. Make any desired adjustments.
-
Once you are satisfied with the changes, click the “Save” or “Publish” button to apply the new header photo to your live store.
