Health and beauty

In ancient Rome, hygiene was a significant part of daily life, and they used a variety of products to maintain cleanliness. One notable hygiene product was the strigil, a curved metal tool used to scrape sweat and dirt off the body. Romans would use it after exercising or bathing. For oral hygiene, they employed toothpicks and a form of toothpaste made from ingredients like crushed bones and oyster shells. The Romans also valued public baths and often visited them regularly to keep clean and socialize.
