Hello friend, would you like to help me to make Full-width description in Launch theme?

Hello. I’d like to make the description on my website full-width. See image below for details.

This is my website

Hi @Andyzhang .

Thank you for sharing your inquiry, this is a theme request we receive quite often and I would be happy to offer you some insight.

I would love to hear more about why you want to extend your product description width, do you feel it would be more aesthetically pleasing for your customers?

The Launch theme is a third-party theme, designed and developed by a team called Pixel Union. In order to potentially change your product’s description width, you would need to reach out to a developer to help with that coding.

I would recommend heading to the official Launch page at our theme store, where you can click “get support” to reach out directly to your theme developers.

Alternatively, we would be happy to continue assisting you through live chat, email, or callback. Please visit our Help Center and log in to your account to create a support request. Once you explain your Theme customization request, the support member will be able to send a request to your Themes developer directly.

In some cases, third-party developers do not help out with customization requests, even if they developed the Theme. If this is the case with your Launch Theme, your next step would be to reach out to a local developer or a Shopify Expert.

I have paid for the theme, they ask me to need to pay for the support. Crazy!!!

The description only on the right side of the computer, my clients said it looks very stupid!

Hi @Andyzhang .

Thank you for clarifying that for me, I can certainly see the visual appeal of having the product descriptions full width. I am sorry to hear that your Theme developer’s support is requesting payment for this change, however, this is something to keep in mind when using third-party themes.

It may be beneficial to reach out to a Shopify Expert to look into this potential as well. Shopify Experts do charge per job, however, you may be offered a cheaper rate depending on the expert’s pricing structure. You can always set up a job on our expert’s page to compare their pricing versus what your Theme’s developer quoted.

It may then be worth reaching out to your client to explain that this customization may require some additional funds to see which route they would prefer to take.

Since this is the next step I’ve marked this reply as the solution for the benefit of others who may discover this topic. Thanks!
