Hello, so I want to push all the out of stock products to the end of my collection pages because people get frustrated. How to do it?

Hey, @raghavjhawar !

Julie here from Shopify Support.

I can definitely see how pushing your out-of-stock products to the end of your collection pages can be useful for customers.

One way to arrange your out-of-stock products last is to manually arrange the products in the collection. This will require you to adjust the order of your products within a collection as they run out of stock, and then again as they come back in stock.

If you’re looking for a low maintenance solution, then you could use an app. Both PushLast and Push Down & Hide Out of Stock will sort your products automatically, pushing out-of-stock products last and re-sorting them when they come back in stock. These apps also give you the option to automatically hide products that are out-of-stock.

Both apps are fully supported by their developers, so feel free to get in touch with them should you have any questions or need assistance. You can generally find developers’ contact information under the Support section on their app listings, or directly within the apps themselves. You can learn more about getting help with third-party apps here.

You should also be able to achieve this through some custom code, and this is likely something that a Shopify Expert can implement for you. In fact, there are plenty of Shopify Experts skilled in custom code who would be happy to help. You can learn more about hiring Shopify Experts to help with your store here.

Are you interested in letting your customers know when out of stock items are back in stock? If so, the Shopify App Store has options for this as well. For example, Back In Stock: Customer Alerts enables your customers to sign up for a notification when a product they’re interested in is back in stock. Once restocked, they’ll receive an email or SMS text message. This is a great way to encourage recurring traffic to your store.

I hope this provides you with a few options worth considering and I’m curious to know if the rest of the Shopify Community has any advice!
