Hello! We’re looking for a rental plugin and or apps that can suit our business model:

I rent floral arrangements (bouquets, corsages, centerpieces, etc.) to couples for their wedding day throughout the U.S. I ship them to arrive 2-3 days prior to their wedding. They return them the following day of their event. I charge them 50% upon checkout and the remaining once the item is shipped. I’m looking for the following features.

  • Need buffer days before and after

  • Need Blackout dates before the store opens. (I want to open now but allow purchases to start Feb. 1)

-Need a 30day lead time before a rental date (Ex. Wedding date Dec 31. Purchase can’t be sooner than Dec. 1)

-Need to rent multiple of each product

-Need to be able to rent for a single day with return date the following day

-Need to have live automated shipping rates

-Need to charge a damage or non-return fee

-Need to charge client for shipping & return shipping

-Need to be able to book items far in advance

-Need inventory calendar

I have tried Booqable and loved it, only to find that they do not offer live automated shipping rates. I need this because I have orders from all over the U.S. This app is only suited for local deliveries. I have tried Product Rentals Pro which was suitable, but customers cannot buy multiple products. (5-Centerpieces) Any, advice would help!

  • I couldn’t find any of the recommended apps mentioned.
  • I would consider a developer to add live shipping rates to booqable.
  • I get live shipping rates with Product Rentals because it’s on the shopify platform.
  • I can’t workaround Booqable and add shipping rates myself. Customers book online and pay upfront. It is far too much to handle manually.
  • Variant products does not work with my business model for Product Rentals
  • Yes I’m open to custom development
  • I would like to work with Fedex. I have that set up with my Shopify store
  • I did have Shipstation connected with booqable and shopify but was unable to get live rates. I am open.
