HELP! Changed email address but shopify is sending downloaded reports to our old email by default

We changed our email address.

We did this for both sections. The same email is used for the one customers see and (supposedly) the one that shopify uses to contact you. All has been OK but we are now downloading payout reports etc and they are being sent to our old address, which we no longer have access too. Have i missed something? Panicing now because we need access to these reports to send to our accountant but they are being sent to our old email.

Did you update the Store contact email and Sender email in the Settings > Store details section of your Shopify admin? If so, none of these emails are expected to receive the payout reports and other account-specific sensitive information. The information is sent to the store owner account email. To receive these in your updated email, you can update the store owner account email with the steps below.

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Settings > Users and Permissions.
  2. Click your name in the Store owner section.
  3. Click View account settings.
  4. Enter your login information.
  5. In the Details section, click Change email.
  6. Enter your new email address in the New email box.
  7. Enter your current password.
  8. Click Change email.
