Help/Feedback - Lots of traffic, no sales

We’ve put in considerable effort to improve our store, but unfortunately, our conversion rate remains low, and the bounce rate is unacceptably high. This week, we experienced a significant drop from 45 to 37, and as a result, our sales have come to a standstill.

If anyone would be willing to take a look at our website and offer pointers and suggestions on how to address these issues, it would be immensely appreciated.

Hey!!

I just had a look at your store and I think it looks good. What I did notice in the main areas of your pages are very white and where I live all the hardware/tool shops are bright, bold writing and have color. Maybe a little lack of color in the main areas.

Reviews , FAQ pages. I am not a expert but that’s what I noticed. Maybe some more pictures throughout like your front page with toolboxs etc. Also you could add a instafeed? Instafeeds are feed on shopify aps store.

Advertising make sure its directed and are you advertising?? Maybe flyers and local papers as well.

Anyways hope that helps somewhat.

Honestly your store design looks fine - there are potentially a few things to tweak:

(1) break out your top navigation so users don’t have to hover over your nav to find your category links

(2) change the product layout on collection pages to have rows of 3-4 products rather than just a scrollable list.

But these are relatively minor in the grand scheme of things - I’d start with trying to figure out whether or not you are driving qualified traffic to the site. One good way to test qualified traffic: try a search ad against a very targeted keyword. If those clicks still aren’t converting or viewing products, then it’d be time to revisit the website funnel!

Hello @anavas ,

Having taken a close look at your store, I believe that below suggestions could help drive sales.

  1. Add product reviews as most of the customers read the review before purchasing the product. Even sometimes by reading reviews, customers may look to understand whether your product will suit their particular situation and make the decision to purchase the product.
  2. Display store’s contact info like phone number, email address, and office address in the Contact Us page.
  3. You can add testimonials on the home page to make the store look more professional. Testimonials allow your satisfied customers to step forward and address the questions and objections that fill the minds of your prospective buyers for you.
  4. Add more payment options other than ShopPay and PayPal which will be convenient for the customer to purchase products.
  5. Add average ratings for each product
Including both user rating and number of ratings on the products will help users to make decision whether to buy your product or not.
  6. Add sticky header
Adding sticky header allow users to quickly access the navigation, search, and utility-navigation elements without scrolling up to the top of the page. They increase the discoverability of the elements in the header and the chance that users will take advantage of them.
  7. Through consistent and high-quality blogging, you can improve your website’s search engine rankings, drive more traffic to your site, and establish your brand as a trustworthy and knowledgeable source in your industry. By focusing on creating valuable content that addresses your readers’ needs, you can build a loyal following and boost your online influence.
  8. Remove Powered by Shopify from footer and add your own branding to your store footer.

  1. Consider a CTA button to the Home page header slideshow
The Call To Action(CTA) is a key element on a webpage, acting as a signpost that lets the user know what to do next. Without a clear CTA, the user may not know the next steps to take to purchase a product or sign up for a newsletter and is likely to leave the site without accomplishing their task.
  2. Add more specific product title/url in product pages.Title character length within 70 characters.
Creating the perfect SEO product title/url can help the search engine understand exactly what it is you are selling and drive more traffic to your site. So try to keep the product title/url unique and more specific.

  1. Make your product pages more informative by adding detailed product descriptions that outline the features and benefits of your products. Providing this valuable information can help increase customer engagement and encourage sales.
