Help getting Pre-Order button to work with multiple variants

I am using the Simple theme.

I am trying to setup a preorder button so that when qty’s reach 0 it changes the add to cart button to “Pre-Order”. I followed the guide below and have it working for an item without variants using product-pre-order-template.liquid . On items with several different sizes it’s not refreshing properly when you select the different size. On this item Small and Large are in stock and you have to refresh your browser for it to show up correctly.

Thanks for the feedback. I ended up using Globo Pre Order App to accomplish what I needed with Pre-Order.

Hi,

You can add a pre-order button without an app or external library. It works with multiple variants too. Check the video for more information.
