Help! I need to disconnect Shopify from my domain....

I have no idea which email address I used to create my online store now I can disconnect it, I’ve cancelled by fulfillment services with Shipbob but my online store is still up and running via the website and I have no idea how to deactivate it. And there is NO WAY to contact someone via support on Shopify, no phone number or chat function. Anyone know how I can get this ironed out?

Thanks for your post, and I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble closing your store.

I recommend using our recovery link to try and find the email used with your store. You can enter in any emails you use and you’ll receive a list of Shopify stores associated with that email. If you’re able to figure out which login is used for your account, you can follow the steps here to transfer your domain to your new host, and this help document has the steps to close your store.

If you’re not able to find the login information for your account, we can still help you regain access by verifying your identity. To get started you’ll want to head over to the Help Center, select “Can’t log in to your Shopify account”, then “I still can’t access my account”, and from that page you can contact our support team. I’ve provided some screenshots here:

Thank you for this information, unfortunately I never get to the point where I can chat with anyone. It just keeps looping to the page where you select a topic you need assistance with

What you’re describing sounds like it could be a local issue. I recommend clearing your cache and cookies and/or using an incoginito window, and then trying the steps above again.

Hi Greta!! Believe it or not I never got this resolved, it’s driving me nuts. I don’t see the options you shared in the screenshot. I need to deactivate my store connected to my website however I don’t even recall the email address used when I opened the store. How can I get assistance to resolve this dire issue?

Could you please try following the steps below to create a support ticket? This guide has a different link, so you may be successful in following these steps.

  1. Visit our support page.
  2. Click Can’t log in to your Shopify account.
  3. Click I still can’t access my account.
  4. Scroll down and click Chat with us under Get support.

Thanks Summer! I did reach out via the chat function and was able to communicate with a representative who created a ticket on my behalf. Would you happen to know how I’ll be contacted regarding the progress of the ticket?
