Help me! Customer register success but not found in the backend data

I successfully registere a customer with the storefront API and received an email notification, but the customer information I registered was not found in the merchant backend management data center. However, when I use the Python REST API to register a user, I can find it immediately. What could cause this situation, it is so incredible as I could use the user-email and password to login in successfully but without any information in the backend data center, just like the customer data was not saved to the shopify database. I’m really confused with this, hope anyone can help me and thanks very much.
