I’ve got a pretty big problem on the mobile view of my site on the Narrative Theme. Whenever I pinch zoom-out, the main “body” of content of the website zooms out but the footer stays behind the whole time, leaving a huge cropped gap on the right in between the main body and the footer underneath. Kind of hard to explain this issue in words so I’m posting a video for you to see.
I’m not very knowledgeable in coding at all, but I’m pretty sure this issue could be solved with a little tweaking in the theme CSS file maybe. I’d extremely appreciate some help, as 90%+ percent of my store visitors are on mobile and this issue happens all the time.
We are sorry to hear you are having this issue, I would be happy to offer some suggestions. My first suggestion would be to check an Unpublished Shopify theme to see if the issue is replicated. You can do so by heading to Online store>Themes>Theme Library>Explore free themes, choose a different Shopify theme then hit Customize:
Once you hit customize, you can then toggle the mobile view on:
If the issue does not replicate on the fresh Shopify theme, this would indicate an issue with the coding on your primary theme. Have you manipulated the coding at all yourself, or removed any third-party applications that may have affected it? If you did manipulate your theme’s coding, we would not be able to support this and you would need to reach out to a local developer or hire a Shopify Expert to take a closer look. Feel free to message back here with any further clarification, we are always happy to help out!
