Hello Shopify Community,
I am currently facing an issue with duplicate H1 titles on my Shopify store, which is affecting our SEO performance. The problem is that the H1 titles appear to be duplicated across all versions of the website. I use a Language and Currency app to switch customers to their region.
A friend of mine, who has some programming experience, looked into the code and believes the issue might be related to the link rel=“canonical” tag potentially overwriting the rel=“alternate” tags just below it. However, we are not entirely sure if this is the cause, and if it is, we don’t know how to fix it.
Could anyone confirm if this hypothesis is correct?
If so, how can we resolve this issue to ensure each language version has its own unique H1 title? Any other insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
