Help! Shopify DNS subdomain details taken over by another business

Hi there,

Something very strange has happened recently. I have a regular website that see’s a lot of web traffic. I added a shopify subdomain as shop.[my domain].co.uk and that was working but we ended up turning it off as it no longer made sense for us.

I then typed our brand name into Google and in the side-panel (I think it’s called knowledge-panel) Our company has a completely incorrect name. It looks like it comes from the shop.[my domain].co.uk subdomain because if I search for it on google our subdomain shop.[my domain].co.uk comes up but with completely different details (name, description, image, etc).

I’ve re-activated my shopify account so that I could see if a hack had taken place but it doesn’t look like anything has been changed in the panel (unless it was removed recently?)

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated thanks!
