I’ve just recently started working on this shop and wanted to get the theme updated. They are using Emipre theme version 5.4.0 currently and want to updated to version 8.0.0 but wanted to know if there’s a way to ensure the process goes smoothly. They don’t appear to use much custom code but there are installed apps being used.
Should an update to the current version of the same theme cause issues? What steps, if any, should I ensure to take before publishing updated theme?
