I was editing my store and i accidentally deleted the password to my website. I have lots of people signed up for the “get notified when the store releases” and I’m not sure if it sent an email. please help. thank you so much for your help!

It sounds like you have accidentally turned off the password page for your storefront, and as a result the store is accessible to your customers. I’d be happy to explain how to re-enable this password page, so that your store is not accessible yet.
This is outlined on this resource here, but you can follow these steps:
- From your Shopify admin navigate to Online Store > Preferences
- Scroll down to the Restrict store access section
- Here you will see a checkbox next to ‘Restrict access to visitors with the password’ - check this box
- You can also change the password itself, and the message that visitors will see
- Don’t forget to click Save on this page before navigating away
Disabling your store password page should not automatically send out an email to the customers that signed up to be notified. However, the password page is a great way to collect email addresses as part of your mailing list, that you can then use for marketing campaigns such as when your store officially launches.
