Help with facebook channel: This Shopify store already has a catalog

Originally the shopify shop was set up with a business manager account we no longer control or able to properly log into. So I deleted the connection with that business account and am trying to set it up with one we do control, however I’m running into this issue.

I am an Business Admin over the business account I’m connected to. But I think the issue with the catalog is related to the business account we don’t control.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for posting to the forums.

The reason you are seeing that error is as you mentioned, there is already a catalog in Facebook that is connected to the account. In order to connect a new catalog, the old catalog needs to be removed.

In order to move forward with onboarding your new account you will need to remove the previous catalog, which requires access to the original Facebook account. If you don’t have access, I recommend reaching out to whoever does and having them follow the steps outlined by this Meta document.
