I am trying to set up my bead shop online. I sell different pack sizes of the same bead, is it possible to add a universal inventory and have it auto fill the pack sizes? For example, if I have 100 red beads in stock can I add that number to inventory and have it add 50 in stock for the 2 piece pack, 10 in stock for the 10 piece pack, etc. and then adjust the main inventory correctly when beads sell.

Would this allow me to add stock so that, for example, I get 100 more red beads I can add 100 to the red bead stock and have it automatically add 50 more to the 2 piece option and 10 more to the 10 piece pack? When I tried it seemed to remove the universal sku once I added the variants- I guess I don’t know how to link it to the universal sku that the stock would be pulled from. So when a 10 pack of beads sells the 2 piece pack is adjusted by 5 because there are 10 beads less overall- if that makes sense.

We just released an app that works for this exact use case.
As I understand “Red Beads” is a product that has variants based on pack sizes such as “Pack of 10” or “Pack of 50”. Our app would allows you to define a “raw material” called “Red Bead” and a simple “Bill of Materials” for each variant as follows:
- Pack of 10 => 10 Red Beads
- Pack of 50 => 50 Red Beads
- …

The Easify Inventory Sync app can perfectly meet your needs. Here’s how you can set it up to resolve your issue 
:

Create a Base Product: This product will reflect your total inventory (e.g., 100 red beads) and be set as Draft in Shopify for inventory tracking purposes only.

Create Bundle Groups: Connect and sync inventory between the Base product and your various packs, such as “2 piece pack” and “10 piece pack”. You’ll need to set up a bundle group for each pack size. For instance, for the “2 piece pack”:
- Master product: 2 piece pack
- Component product: Base product, with a Quantity per bundle set to 2

Results:
- The app will automatically calculate the quantity of the “2 piece pack” based on the Base product’s inventory. For example, if your Base product has 100 red beads, the quantity for the “2 piece pack” will be 50.
- Whenever a “2 piece pack” is sold, the Base product will be reduced by 2. The new Base product quantity (98) will then recalculate the available quantities for other packs (e.g., “10 piece pack”), ensuring accurate inventory tracking.
This setup is similar to managing inventory for batteries sold in packs but tracked by individual units. The app offers a demo with a detailed guide on setting this up.
