I’d like to share a tip that’s been really helpful in improving the speed of my Shopify store: removing unused code.
Problem: When you uninstall an app on Shopify, bits of code may remain that slow down the store, but you won’t notice them unless you run an in-depth analysis.
Solution: Use SideKick with the prompt:
Check if there is any code left over from old, uninstalled apps in my theme
Example:
So I’ll be able to remove them with a Shopify developer or an MCP Claude.
