I’m currently using the Fashionopolism theme on Shopify, and I would like to know if it’s possible to add a large hero image (or visual banner) within a product collection page, placed between products in the grid, like other brands often do. Could you please let me know:
If this is possible with the Fashionopolism theme settings, or
If it requires a custom Liquid modification or custom section/block?
Ideally, I’d like to use this image as a visual break or editorial banner within the product grid.
It’s not included in Fashionopolism theme settings and it needs to be coded manually within your main-collection.liquid file or product-grid.liquid file.
If you’re not familiar with coding then I suggest first try asking Shopify Sidekick AI if that helps you with it or not, if not then you’ll most probably require a Shopify developer to code this for you.
Make sure you don’t forget to duplicate your theme before doing any code modifications. Let me know if you require any help from my side.
This definitely needs custom liquid. I did this before, not image but actually adding a content column after few products in the collection pages, implementation will pretty much be the same. Check this out: eluxestore.de
if the content frequently needs changing we can make a section or block or explain in detail to you where to make necessary changes in future.
Yes, it is possible. Most themes don’t have this setting by default, but it can be implemented using custom code. Could you please send a screenshot of the type of banner you would like inside the grid? Also, please share your store URL.
Thank you for your reply ! The type of banner I would like to see appear in the product grid is similar to the one used on the ‘Mya Bay’ or ‘Blush’ websites.
