Hide a shipping option based on date/time

Hello

We have a Next Day Delivery Option available to our customers on out website, however we don’t deliver on weekends which means this option is obsolete between Thursday 2:30pm (our cut off) and Monday morning 00:00am. We do have this noted on our website but we still have customers opting for next day on a Thursday/Friday and then needing a refund when they realize it wont arrive until Monday.

We need a simple way to say do not show this option within these hours. I’m sure this must be doable and simple but I can’t find a good solution.

Would anybody know of an app that has this feature? Or many a way to achieve it without an app?

This might be a method that would work for you.

It would be putting a clear note on the product description: “We won’t ship this product during the weekend.”

The second option would be: In your admin, go to Setting > Store languages > Change theme languages, and select Checkout & systems.

Ctrl F and search for the Shipping method. Add your text in the Shipping method notice section. It will look like this:
