I’m trying to hide Collections in my Navigation bar that are out of stock. I don’t want my customers to click on a category and nothing is there. Tried some of the other solutions on here but it doesn’t seem to work for the debit theme.
this is my drop down for my navigation. The only collection in stock is swimwear so I don’t want the others to show until stock is added or available in those collections

Hi There!
It looks like you linked all your collections from your navigation menu (even the ones that are empty).
Here’s a short guide on how to remove collections from the menu navigation in Shopify:
- Log in to your Shopify admin panel.
- From the Shopify admin dashboard, click on “Online Store” in the left-hand sidebar.
- Select “Navigation” from the dropdown menu that appears.
- You will see a list of your navigation menus. Choose the menu that contains the collections you want to remove. In your case it is probably called “main menu”.
- Once you’ve selected the menu, you will see a list of items within that menu.
- Locate the collection you want to remove from the menu (you may need to expand the parent item) and then click on it to expand the settings.
- Within the collection settings, you will find an option to remove it from the menu. Click on the “Delete” or “Remove” button, depending on the specific Shopify theme you are using.
- Confirm the removal when prompted. Note that removing a collection from the menu will not delete the collection itself, only remove it from the navigation.
- Once you have removed all the desired collections, click the “Save” button to save your changes.
That’s it! The collections you have removed will no longer be displayed in the menu navigation on your Shopify store. Remember to review your store’s navigation after making changes to ensure everything appears as desired.
I hope this helps! Happy selling!
