High Bounce Rates on my new Shopify website

Hi,

About 2 months ago, we opened a new shopify website. I follow Analytics data on a daily basis. While the organic bounce rate of my old php website is 25%, the organic bounce rate of my new website is 75%. Bounce rate from Google ads is 55% on the old website and 95% on my new shopify website.

Although the new website is better in terms of design and content, we cannot find the reason for this difference.

Whats your opinion about it?

Did you ever figure anything out?

I just had a very similar experience. We switched from a older theme to a newer 2.0 theme and our bounce rate skyrocketed; even though it’s a nicer, faster website.
