Homepage looks different in backend as in frontend. Elements are missing

Hello

Today I made a copy of our active Theme, made a new design/layout for our homepage in the copy and once done, I published it so the copy of the Theme is online.

Unfortunately half of the elements/blocks wich are visible in the backend are not visible in the frontend. There was no error, I did not hide the blocks I’m missing in the frontend now and I didnt do any coding myself. I did only use existing elements and let Sidekick create a few new ones.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

To show you the backend & frontend, I recorded a video and uploaded it on wetransfer for 7 days: Unique Download Link | WeTransfer

Similar behaviour can be encountered if edits were made in a Market different to the one selected for browsing.

Also try visiting your store in incognito mode/ different browser.

Thanks for the hint. I did copy the theme and did edit the existing homepage, so there is no change in markets or such thing. I did justs check to be sure. Also I did check the page in another browser and on mobile as well. I cant find the source for the problem.

I could recreate the homepage in the active version of the theme and hope it will go well, but I dont want to unless I have no other solution. Also I cant imaging that it will work better then the copy.

Update:

I added one of the theme’s default elements to the live theme for testing purposes. The element is called “Text columns with icons”. After saving, I checked the front end but couldn’t find the element. It simply isn’t displayed. It isn’t hidden, nor is it in the wrong theme. I’ve also tested it in incognito mode and in a different browser.

How is it possible that default elements can be published but are not visible?

That is weird.
It should not matter much whether it’s a native theme block/section or AI-generated.

Unfortunately, without access to your store it’s hard to suggest anything.

Another test would be to get a fresh Dawn from the theme store and try to replicate.
It it happens in Dawn too, reach out to Shopify support.

Thank you for your great help tim. It actualy was the case, that I didnt change the market, I did it wrong to begin with, what an unecessary mistake.. It works now.
