I’m using Shopify’s Horizon theme, and I’ve noticed a delay when customers click the Add to Cart button.
The product is successfully added to the cart, but there is a noticeable delay before the cart drawer opens and displays the added product. I’d like the cart drawer to appear much faster, similar to the experience on many modern ecommerce stores where the drawer opens almost instantly after clicking Add to Cart.
Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I checked the Horizon theme, and the cart drawer opens immediately when a product is added to the cart. Could you please send me your store URL so I can take a closer look and see what might be causing the delay on your store?

The lag is typically caused by additional scripts, app integrations or cart related requests that fire before the drawer updates. Try disabling unnecessary apps on your store, and see if any is injecting code on the product or cart flow. You may also check custom theme customization with a standard Horizon theme copy. If the cart drawer is powered by section rendering, reducing the number of sections that will be refreshed when adding an item to the cart will greatly enhance the responsiveness of the cart drawer.
