Hi, @Nazmi6338
Welcome to Shopify and thanks for reaching out!
Great to hear youâve been self learning through Youtube videos and working on your store. I wasnât able to access your store through the link and password you provided. Not to worry though, as Iâd like to share some tips and resources to help you get started.
Domains:
Have you thought about buying a custom domain through Shopify? You can search through Shopifyâs domain name generator to see if your domain name is available and the pricing. Having a custom domain name can help with branding as customers can easily recognize your store and itâll give your URL a cleaner look. Check out our resource linked above for steps on how to purchase a domain through Shopify and setting up your domain settings.
Store Checklist:
Our store checklist is perfect for when youâre just starting out with your store. Not sure where to start? Our store checklist will guide you to setup your payment options, shipping settings, adding your business details, setting the default currency and a lot more. It even includes check boxes so you can check them off as you go.
Sales Channels:
Setting up sales channels on your store is a great way to reach a larger audience, generate store traffic and boost sales. Adding sales channels like Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Google and Tiktok can be done directly within your Shopify admin > Sales Channel section by clicking the small + sign. Iâll also share our resource on Sales Channels to learn more about the benefits and features.
Lastly, Iâd like to share our Shopify Blog resource on how to start your online store in 8 simple steps. Our resource will walk you through how to make the most out of your 14-day free trial, adding products, inventory, variants, shipping and more.
Feel free to let us know if you have any additional questions or need help with setup. Iâll be happy to help.

Hello @Nazmi6338
I hope you are doing well!
I checked through your store and saw a few things that, if added, might make your store even better:
The favicon is missing. When creating an online business, the favicon is important. Follow Shopifyâs instructions for adding a Favicon: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/online-store/images/add-favicon
The image you have chosen for your banner isnât attractive. Your product isnât shown yet.
Your brand story should be on the homepage so that customers can learn more about your business. Also, it makes your store look more professional.
Youâve made a section called âFeatured Collections,â which is great. If you want to optimize conversions, youâll need to prepare this part with high-quality images.
Your footer is unprofessional in general. If you include some basic elements, such as a logo, contact information, a blog page, a privacy policy, shipping information, and social media icons, it will appear more professional. You can use this Shopify footer checklist to help you.
You should use the Transcy app for language translation and currency conversion if you sell your products overseas or to another country.
On the navigation bar, the name of your product page is Collection. It will be difficult to navigate your website. You can change it from Collection to Products, in my opinion.
Your product photos are not the same size on the product page. Youâll need to resize the photographs and verify that theyâre of high quality. Because online shoppers canât touch the product, product photos are key.
Product descriptions should be more detailed. You can use bullet points to help shoppers remember important details.
There is no customer review section on your product page. Customers read reviews before making purchases. So, youâll need to create that section to make it easy for customers to leave reviews, and it must be well-designed to help your store appear more trustworthy. For this, I recommend using the Ali Reviews app.
Hereâs how to build a Shopify store in less than an hour, and I hope it helps you improve your store.
Please let me know if you have any further thoughts.
Iâm glad you found the feedback helpful, @Nazmi6338 !
Youâve done a great job so far of setting up the basics on your store, choosing brand colors and adding your products. I had a chance to view your store and make a few notes that Iâd like to share with you.
Adding a social sharing image:
When sharing your store online whether itâs through Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok etc youâll want to have a social sharing image. A social sharing image is a thumbnail that appears next to your website when youâve shared it online. This can help with branding as your store will appear trustworthy and users will recognize your brand through the social sharing image. You can learn more about how to add a social sharing image through our help center resource.
Footer section:
Adding store policies like Privacy policy, refund policy, terms of service, shipping policy etc within the footer section of your store creates a sense of trust with customers, aids with decision making and informs them on how your store operates. Check out our resource on adding store policies to learn more.
Adding an FAQ page:
Having an FAQ page is essential in informing customers about your product, can help alleviate purchasing anxieties and answer any questions customers may have. Iâll share our Shopify Blog resource to help you with building your FAQ page and what to include in it.
Remove powered by Shopify:
To help with branding and giving your footer section a cleaner look, you can remove the powered by Shopify text. This can help with branding when customers navigate to your store as theyâll see your business name in the footer and not the powered by Shopify text.
Please let me know if you have any questions about the resources shared or need further assistance.
Thank you very much.
I am still reading on article proposed by Victoria even though I think
its also covered in YouTube that I saw. I think it is helpful to read too.
Excellent comments but as for now, I am still trying to figure out the
basics ![]()
My main objective now is to understand the how to in each action items.
Some are straight forward and some are quick tricky. I am using Dawn theme
so I need to walk through it (or trying to run through it)
Thanks again. Will revert back as and when.
nazmi
TQVM for the comments. Will digest and work on it.
I shall start with this how to build a Shopify store in less than an hour.
I have lots in my mind but will take it 1 step at a time. Appreciate it. Nazmi
Hi Victoria,
Have a look at my store after 2nd attempt. PW is naoldu. I went to online shop/page but I cannot figure out how to add a page and make it visible. I have read " How to start a shop in shopify in an hourâ and the documents in your help tab but still cannot figure it out.
The pictures that you see are still âtest runâ versions. What is the difference between putting up pictures under 'Products" vs Collage?
Please advise on how to add pages so I can add my brand story.
TQVM
Nazmi
The favicon - played around with favicon generator. I shall do this later once the shop is near completion.
Your banner - have a look at vers2. Am trying to figure out to import some of the designs I have. Still canât but I ll figure it out.
Collection/Products - maybe I label it as Products like you suggested. I am finding this section a bit confusing. I am now using draft pictures. It helps me to test things out.
How do you add a page. I went to online shop/page, then tried adding page/make it visible but cannot locate it when I want to start my brand story.
My products are considered new except for Nebo Skyfruit coffee. I started this in 2016 and all the comments were in malay, in facebook - www.facebook.com/falih.co
Where are you located?USA/China/Malaysia
Am doing the rest now phase by phase.
Kind regards
Nazmi
Hi Victoria,
Found the add page button. Sorted. Earlier it did not show or I was at the wrong place. Tq. Nazmi

In order for your page(s) to be visible on your storefront, youâll want to add them to your main menu navigation. To help you with adding this page to your navigation, check out our help center resource that includes steps and a video.
Feel free to thread any additional questions you have here.
TQ Victoria. In the process of trying to create a navigation menu. Now I am working on a shipping policy too. I have watched the video and read the policy part; but do you have template example? Thanks
No problem, @Nazmi6338 !
