Hi everyone, I am thinking about starting a Shopify business on the side and I was just wondering if there were any resources for beginners like me? I have a lot of IT experience but I was hoping for some insights on other difficulties that I may face. I’m particularly unsure about promotion, and discoverability. Does Shopify have any native features I could use to get the word out?

We have a great resource called Shopify Learn, which offers Shopify merchants access to 100’s of free courses. Many courses on the essentials to start your business, learning to market and sell your product, store design, finances, and all things to help create and grow your business.
Shopify partners with many third-party apps such as Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, and Google that allow you to sell your products on these platforms and get your product into the view of your target audience. We also have many apps that you can install to help with marketing, sales, discounts, shipping, fulfillment, conversion, merchandising, etc. By using Shopify, you have access to all of these third-party apps.
