I have a problem in my site (product sections)
when customer add any product in the cart, then new product was created with tag mws_apo_generated.
is the problem from app: (Advanced product options)?
and what is the solutions
We have the same problem on our site. Any ideas? We eneded up deleting advanced product options
I’m having this issue too. Did you contact the app support? What have they said?
I’m also running into this same issue, and also using the Advanced Product Options app. I’ve sent a message to APO, hoping to hear back soon.
Per Angie at APO:
As you may know, third-party apps can’t change original products’ prices at the checkout without using the standard variants or cloning the product.
So to make it possible to pass the selected options to the Checkout, the app generates custom product variants for each unique combination of options.
You may decide where to store them - inside the base product or inside the copy of the base product (a clone).
If the “Cloned product” option is selected, the app generates a product’s copy under the “mws_apo_generated” type and adds the custom product variants inside it.
You may change the settings and make the variants placed inside the base products instead:
Settings / Creating product variants / In the base product
The trick here is that we don’t create duplicate variants. If a variant with the same options already exists, we reuse that variant, instead of creating a new one. Thus, we do not recommend deleting the variants/products generated by the app.
Shoot, I just tried this an now it is a creating a new variant under the main product. Back to the drawing board.
Contact the app provider. They will help hide the variations on the back end.
