Hi. Which category goes the employee need access to, to be able to edit metafields for products and collections?
The product access is not providing access to the metafields.

I think you need to allow “Manage settings” since creating new metafields can be find in the Settings section.

oh, that’s weird that it’s not working, see the following screenshot. I’ve double check it with Shopify Help center, here’s the link: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/your-account/staff-accounts/staff-permissions/settings-permissions
If it isn’t working, I would contact Shopify support to find out where the problem is. (And sorry for my late reply!)
You’ll have to give them access to “Products”, “Discounts”, and “Blogs and Posts” as well.
