Previously we were running the website on Improwell.com but now we changed domain to the concevoir.com.
We redirected improwell.com to concevoir.com but my concern is I want to make 301 redirections improwell.com to concevoir.com

Hi, does this work if it’s a totally different domain? I have a client who wants to have a new primary domain, but redirect traffic from their old domain to the new site, and specifically to certain pages.

I can see that I can add the old domain as a secondary domain in the site settings, but can I create redirects using an old website slug to a new website slug? will that work?

E.g.

brandnewwebsite.comn

I need oldwebsite.com - This website is for sale! - oldwebsite Resources and Information. to redirect to brandnewwebsite.com/different-brand-name

did someone from Shopify get back to you with an answer ?

I’m looking for a solution to 301 redirect our old websites aa.com to bb.com. I’ve prepared a redirection plan for each page to keep as much SEO performances as possible but without access to htaccess, this is not doable :confused:

In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Domains.

Here you can Connect an Existing Domain so that you’ll have both the old and new domains set up.

Set the new domain as the Primary for Online Store.

Set the old url a Redirect to the Primary domain.
