Hi Shopify Gurus!
Anyone knows how to access the root folder with files (pictures) for your site?
You can’t do it in: settings > files.
Best regards

There is no way to put anything in the root of a Shopify store. Have you tried using a redirect?
What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Maybe there is a way around this limitation.
Hi Thomas
Thank you for your reply.
I am trying to acces the pictures in order to edit them (scale down in size). I do not have the originals which is why I need to download them from my shopify files.

If the files are stored in Settings > Files, here’s a tutorial on how to bulk-download them: https://tomblanchard.co.uk/bulk-downloading-your-shopify-files/
If you need to download product photos, those are stored separately from the files in Settings > Files. To download them you might want to look at an app like https://apps.shopify.com/mega-image-exporter.
Hi Thomas
I did not manage to use the guide you found, but found the button to copy link and copy an url that I can access the image from by save image as.
But thank you for your contribution! I bet someone else will benefit from it!
Best regards
Valdemar
I don’t think you can access root folder of all files, but If you will check app store, I think you can find something to help you out with it.
There is an app Filetastic that pulls all your files from store. You can get urls from there easily.
i need to find the rooter directory on my shopify store to Upload a ads.txt file for google adsense? could you help?
