Wanted to know if this is possible. I have These variants and I want it so that when a pill is selected the corresponding drop down automatically triggers and shows customer the description.

Can you share the store URL please
Depending theme there may be a variant change event that can be used to do this.
Still it’s custom coding to work it out and at minimum others would need an inspectable store url and theme name
