I’m trying to activate Cart Notes in the Spotlight theme. I’m on a Basic Plan.
I was told in the chat: ‘It seems like the cart notes feature might not be included in your current theme. However, it can be added with a bit of code.’ I was signposted to this community.

can I change code for themes on the basic plan?

or can I change theme to have one that includes cart notes?

The chat bot told me that indeed the basic plan should NOT prevent me from having cart notes, but how do I add them. When I go on Customize Theme / Cart (or indeed check-out), all I see is the navigation to change theme settings, brand info and social media and nothing else. The navigation on the left doesn’t change.
I found this bit: https://shopify.github.io/liquid-code-examples/example/cart-notes but no idea where to add it (if I can).
