For all those wondering, the option is in the Shopify POS app, not on the Shopify admin.

If you are not seeing where to enable this; log out of the POS App and log back in. It should then be in the Gift Card area of settings. Very strange but it did work for me.

Thank you for your reply. we tried this and it didn’t work. The ONLY thing we have found is that we can install an app called Rise that will issue a store credit via email … I guess maybe they just want us to continue to add apps and get more $$ from us each month.

I am having the exact problem. We are very new to this, ordered the gift cards but cannot find where it says to enable physical gift cards. I feel like I’m going crazy.
