How can I add a border to menu items using custom CSS?

I just started and I am very confused with the custom CSS. I want to add a border around each individual menu items. I would love to be able to change the color and size of the border. Thank you! I am using the spotlight theme.

You can try this code by following these steps:

Step 1: Go to Online Store->Theme->Edit code.

Step 2: Search file theme.liquid

Step 3: Paste the below code at the bottom of the file → Save
