How can I add a captcha to my checkout to prevent bot attacks?

I’m getting attacked by bots with fraudulent credit cards, I’m talking about hundreds of attempts with cards until they get one approved. The payment provider tells me that I have to add a captcha to checkout. How I can do this?

If you have Shopify Plus, you have bot protection within your Shopify settings. you can also manually add the captcha to your checkout page by coding in one.

Otherwise you can set to require account before checkout to at least minimize bot attacks.

I tried the suggestion of enabling “Accounts are required” (now called Legacy Accounts) and it does not seem to bee slowing down the bots at all.
