You can follow the instructions below to add a phone number clickable on your footer:
- On your Shopify admin, navigate to your Theme editor by going to Online store > Themes > Customize
- Go to your Footer section on the left sidebar, and click Add block > Text
- Enter the appropriate heading (Contact number or Phone number) and under subheading, enter your business’ contact number as text
- Highlight the phone number and click on the anchor icon to edit the link. Under the link heading, enter your business’ contact number again but with tel: before the phone number. If you’re wanting to receive international calls, make sure to include the country code onto your phone number, otherwise enter it as is. See image below for reference
- Click Done, and feel free to test out your link to ensure that it is functioning correctly
Just a note that this clickable phone number feature only works if the customer has their device set up to do so.
Nice to see that you’re looking to add a clickable contact number to your store, it’ll definitely create a more positive customer experience on your storefront. Is there anything else that you’re currently working on your store at the moment? If you’re not quite ready to launch yet, I recommend putting a coming soon or password protected page on your store. This will ensure that customers aren’t seeing live changes that you’re making to your store, to keep your store and brand appear more professional in front of visitors.
