How can I add a currency selector to my Taste theme on Shopify Markets?

Hello, I am looking for a way to add a currency selector on my theme that works with Shopify Markets, so the currency that the user selects will be the same as the one provided on checkout.

I am using the Taste theme and I have already set up Shopify markets, I am just looking for a way to add a simple button on the top right that allows the customer to choose between 5 currencies:

USD

EUR

GBP

CAD

AUD

I have tried using the Geolocation app but it does not work well on my theme and only allows for a small dropdown in the footer, rather than on the header in the top right (to the left of cart button preferably). My store URL is styl-case.myshopify.com, any advice is appreciated on how I could go across this, thank you.

Thank you, I have tried these apps but they are purely visual, and the currency remains in USD on the checkout page.

What you see in checkout depends on your Shopify plan , the country of your store registration, and settings in Markets.

The currency of payment is set in the Markets , provided that you have created proper market and have chosen the option " Use local currencies"

In taht case checkout payment currency will be the local country currency

When it comes to Geolocation and other apps that allow you to visualise prices in local currencies -they can not influence what happens on checkout level (unless you on Shopfy +, but this is another story), so they all (more or less) capture IP and check browser cache to determine the loaction for displaying the prices in the local currency ,but do not influence in any practical way what is shown at checkout.

Thanks for the info, but the geolocation app in fact does influence what happens on checkout level, and it works for my site, but I am looking for a dropdown in the header rather than the footer, and one that will only give 5 currency options instead of all.

What I meant saying that Geolocation does not influene checkout is that the payment currency is always determined by delivery address and settings in Markets (local currency on/off). Geolocation visusalises the price at the cart level and on the first stage of checkout , but the final choise of the payment currency is still determined by the currency setting in Markets.

I will try to help with currency switch tomorrow, I have to confer with my guys

kind of seeing this nearly 2 years later but I wanted to ask you, did you manage to find a way to solve the issue? I am asking because I have the same issue and I am searching for a solution.
