We’re a charity. We’re trying to build a donate section in the cart where we can ask users if they’d like to make a donation. This is so that we can have it as part of theme and lessen the reliance on other apps.
It’s fairly easy to make something with set prompts (e.g. 5, 10, 20). with that I just have variants for each prompt value and attach them to the selection buttons.
What I’m finding harder is giving the user the ability to customise the amount.
That is, I want to have an input field where the customer can name their own price for the donation.
Is it possible within an add to cart form to amend the price of the item when it is added.
I’m thinking i’ll have variants for the set prompts and then one called ‘other’ that is added with when the cutom amount field is used, where the value in that input becomes the price of the item when added.
What do all you clever people think of that? is it possible?
