Due to the way our company is Run (we manufacture products in-house), we cannot add a markup on our products to cover the handling fee (The internal sales program has the same pricing as the online store), as that would decrease our online store sales, and they’d come in-store instead.

We want to know if there is a way to add a handling fee for the pickups.

We have added the fee through Shipping and delivery rates.

Any Suggestions are welcome. Could there be a way to add a fee for a % of the whole checkout price?

We have had our external website builders create the store but will charge us $$$$$ to look into this. Was hoping we would be able to figure it out ourselves to save the company some money.

Are you on Shopify Plus?

This might be possible with checkout extensibility/checkout UI extensions.

You would be able to automatically add a “surcharge” product to the cart if the customer had selected local pickup as their delivery option.

Thanks for sharing the snip. You are not on Shopify Plus (IIRC, it’s about $2k/month).
