How can I add a hyperlink to my homepage for link building?

Hi All,

I have a dropshipping store - www.florabymillie.com. I am still gradually working on my SEO for my products.

I recently hired somebody from a website starting with F (you know the one) in early December to do “high da manual SEO backlinks for google first page ranking”.

I have also just received a free “63 High DA Sites For Link Building” Guide from The Hoth. Now, I am pretty clueless when it comes to backlinks. The list includes places like reddit.com, Amazon Sign-In, flickr.com, etsy.com & so on. There instructions are as follows

  1. Select sites to set profiles on one by one 2. Navigate to the “sign up” or profile creation section 3. Use your correct email to verify your account 4. Verify your account and fill out your profile 5. Add a hyperlink to your homepage

Number 5 has me stumped - add a hyperlink to my homepage. Can somebody please explain ? Or am I wasting my time ?
