How can I add a large collection to a specific shipping profile?

I have a Collection which has more than 6000 products and I am looking to add the collection to my specific Shipping profile. How can I add whole collection to my specific Shipping profile without wasting my days and days selecting individual products?

There isn’t currently a way to add products to shipping profiles by collection built into the Shopify admin. The only way to add products in bulk when adding products to shipping profiles is to use the Select displayed items button or to individually select each product you want in the profile and click Done to add them all. I’m happy to pass along any feedback you have about this. I can see how it would be helpful to have more bulk add options for shipping profiles.

I know this will be time consuming for you, so another option you can try is to use a third party app that assists with shipping. You can find a list of apps that can help with shipping in the app store here.

Hi Erin, Thank you for your response on my questions. We as a small business expect Shopify to take of this small basic things. We are not looking for heavy customization but atleast basic thing should be included in shopify instead of getting another subscription for small thing. I am sure for a developer this wont be a big deal and but you guys still dont do it just because you can earn little more money.

Okay lets say it a big deal for you guys to include in shopify but when we spend hours to scroll to all our 6000 products why your page doest response and gets freeze? Atleast it should work smoothly without getting freeze.

For more help with your account freezing please reach out to our support team here. We can’t see your account details or test this out here over the Shopify Community, but if you speak with us through the page I shared we can review this with you in more detail. In the meantime, I’d recommend double checking that you are using an up to date supported browser and device, as this can often cause issues like the one you described. I’d also recommend testing this out using a different internet connection to rule out this being caused by internet issues.

It is unfortunate that Shopify does not have the option to add a collection into profiles. If you are considering using apps for a solution, our app JsRates might be able to help you with this. JsRates enables you to generate shipping rates using the collection title or handle - without the need to add the collection in a profile.
