Is there a way to add Local Pickup to a sale that is put through on the POS? Yes would be great to have local pick up for pos orders and fulfilment from the pos . I do t think it should be a bog issue for shopify to implement it
Did you ever find a solution that works? I’m not trying to add another $50+/month fee to shopify with another app when I already have so many add ons to make it work how I need, but there has to be a way to do this since it’s already baked into the shopify store for e-comm. Like you I place most of my orders in store that are custom items, then we need to notify the customer it’s ready for pickup and ultimately mark picked up.
We have the same problem of pre-selling items that are out of stock via our POS.
POS Pro offers an option to ship these items to the customers.
However, in most cases the customers prefer a store pickup and there is no clean solution to this.

We’re looking for the exact same thing to implement. Our workaround is now, that we put our own shipping address in and inform the customer by sending emails manually. However it turns out, that many don’t get the email. - Different from the transactional emails via Shopify.
We cannot tell our customers who made the way to our shop to shop the pre-orders online!
We need the same feature! Super important actually, as we experience the same issue. Customers say, they don’t get the email telling them, there order is ready for pick- up.
And ordering products for customers in the shop, is a real important service at POS.
