How can I add a recommended product on a Wix page?

Hi, I am new to Wix and working out how to add a recommended product to our product pages.Can anyone please help.

The product page looks like this.

And I have attached a recommended product layout but I have no idea how to add it after the product. ANy help would be awesome.

Thank you for reaching out here.

Most themes offer you a recommended product feature and you can enable it on your product page by customizing your theme: Online Store > Theme > Customize > Choose Product from the top center drop-down menu > Product Default > Product recommendations > Check the box Show dynamic recommendation.

Just to clarify for the sake of anyone else reading this thread: Wix is a different platform from Shopify, so we cannot provide support for Wix-related questions.

However, it appears that you are using Shopify to build your store, so I assume that you didn’t mean to type “Wix”.

As @AvadaCommerce correctly pointed out, it is possible to add a recommended products section, here is how to do that if you are using a vintage Shopify theme. And how to add recommended products if you are using an Online Store 2.0 theme.

Products recommendations are provided by an algorithm that
predicts the most relevant products for the customer based on specific criteria:

  • Purchase history - Finds products that have historically been purchased together.
  • Product description - Finds products with similar descriptions.
  • Related collections - Finds products from collections that the current products are part of, excluding collections with handles all and front page.

In addition to the above, there are also the following limitations:

  • You can’t customize the recommendation algorithm to exclude specific products. However, you can choose which of the returned products to show with JavaScript.
  • The recommendation algorithm doesn’t use orders that have been imported from another store or eCommerce platform to generate product recommendations.
  • Products that are out of stock, or set to a price of 0, and gift cards, aren’t included in recommendations.

Of course, you could always suggest an additional product to go with the current one by linking to it in the product description. For example, the website airsofteire.com offers suggested accompanying products in the description. Take a look at this product which includes a hyperlink to a battery:

You could try something similar if you wanted to recommend a specific product yourself.

Hi so I did work that out but it doesnt show up. Can I hire you to ammend this hopefully at a reasonable price. Even better could you have a look and show me how to fix this?

It would also help to know what theme you are using, whether you have made any code edits to that theme already, and whether you have tried adding any third-party apps that offer product recommendations.
