Hi guys I’m using the shopify dawn theme and I was wondering if I could get help adding a size conversion to the product description. I don’t want a chart just text.
If you want to include size conversions in your product descriptions, especially for an international audience, here are a few approaches you can consider:
Include Size Charts: Create or obtain size charts for your products and include them in your product descriptions or on your website. These charts can provide measurements in different units (e.g., inches, centimeters) and correlate them with specific sizes (e.g., small, medium, large) for different regions or countries.
List Multiple Sizes: Instead of just listing one size, provide conversions or equivalents for different regions or countries. For example, if you’re selling clothing, you could include both the US size and the corresponding EU size in your product descriptions.
Provide Size Conversion Tables: Create a separate page on your website dedicated to size conversions. This page can include tables or charts showing conversions between different size systems (e.g., US, EU, UK) for various product categories (e.g., clothing, shoes).
Interactive Size Guides: Implement interactive size guides or tools on your website that allow customers to input their measurements and receive recommendations for the appropriate size in different size systems.
Use Pop-ups or Tooltips: Include pop-ups or tooltips next to size options in your product descriptions that provide additional information or size conversions when hovered over or clicked on.
Offer Customization Options: Provide customization options for certain products, such as adjustable straps or waistbands, to accommodate different body types and sizes.
Provide Clear Instructions: Regardless of the approach you choose, make sure to provide clear instructions for customers on how to select the correct size based on their measurements or preferences.
By implementing one or more of these approaches, you can help ensure that your customers have the information they need to make informed purchasing decisions, regardless of their location or preferred size system.
Thanks for your reply, but thats not what I meant. I wanted some code to add in my product description to look like the inspiration link so if I added measurements in cm there’d be a conversion to change it to inches.

I’d like to hear more about the following two from above. My client wants to have the option for a customer to choose the variant size on the Shopify PDP according to their own country (UK/USA/FR/DE) ie offer multiple sizing systems. Is this a feature you have seen in any tutorial or app as I guess it needs coding in to the default product page template?
