How can I add a wishlist to my Dawn theme without using an app?

Hi, I want to have a wishlist in my dawn themed shop.

I found this tutorial and follow the steps but I can’t see any change on my theme.

I created and copy past the code

assets >> wishlist.js

templates >> wishlist-page.liquid

templates >> wishlist-product.liquid

Note: I didn’t understand the part about using customer.tags

Can someone please explain to me what to change/add to work for dawn theme.
