I’m wanting to add an animated grain overlay on my entire website. However, I’m using the dawn theme. I’ve attached an example of what I’m trying to do. I’ve also added a grain gif to assets and I’ve tried the other Shopify discussion mentioning this but I couldn’t get it to work.

What have you tried so far? If you can post that it makes it easier for the forum members to nudge you in the right direction.
The concept is along the lines of:
- add an element that covers the entire page
- add the grain as a background of that element
- make sure the element does not trigger pointer events (css of pointer-events: none)
I have no idea where to begin. That’s why I’m asking what specific code I need. @Jason
